Our purpose for the St. Celestine Religious Education Program is to help our students build their connections to God through prayer, incorporate God into their everyday lives, and recognize opportunities to enhance their relationship with God. Here at St. Celestine we offer Religious Education to Students in Grades 1-8 who during the week attend a public or home school setting. We feel that with your child’s family experience, the classroom experience, and participation in the St. Celestine faith community, your child’s faith will develop and grow.

Our program consists of 16 meetings held every other Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 AM from September until the end of April.  We meet in the school building at 3017 North 77th Avenue in Elmwood Park, Illinois.

To register, please look over the Book Fee and Tuition schedule. It is important to register as soon as possible so that the appropriate number of books and supplies can be ordered. You may drop off the registration form and fee at the Pastoral Center (3020 North 76th Court). After regular working hours there is a drop-off slot. Please place your form and fee in an envelope marked to the attention of the Religious Education Program.

Please note that if your child has not yet received the sacrament of Holy Communion and is in second grade or higher, they will need to be in the program two years before being invited to participate in that sacrament.

If you have any questions about our program please contact Ruthanne Swiatkowski, Coordinator of Religious Education  by phone at 708–453–2555 or julie@stcelestineparish.org.

May you and your families be blessed with God’s care and love!
