St. Celestine offers Eucharistic Adoration on the First Friday of each month. It starts at 9 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, in the back of church by the 76th Court doors. The chapel is open all day for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
We pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 PM, and the Knights of Columbus lead a rosary honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe at 7 PM, with Benediction at 7:45 PM.
PLEASE NOTE: On November 2 (All Souls’ Day), the rosary will be at 6:30 PM because of the Memorial Mass at 7 PM.
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
In adoration, the consecrated Host is exposed in a “monstrance” which is a sacred vessel. The large Host is placed in a glass enclosure in the monstrance on the altar so that people may come and spend time with the Lord, Jesus Christ. In the silence of adoration, the Lord sometimes speaks to us, assuring us of His love for us and His presence in our lives. Other times he remains silent. In those times, we can stay with Him and place our lives in His hands.
We live in a time of great trial and challenge. Please come to Church and the Blessed Sacrament Chapel on First Fridays and spend time with the Lord.
