The Sacrament of Reconciliation, or Confession, celebrates God’s forgiveness of sin through which we are reconciled with both God and the Church. We as sinners are washed clean of our sins and renewed in Christ.
The basic requirement for a good confession is to have the intention of returning to God with your whole heart, and to acknowledge your sins with true sorrow before the priest. It is important to make an “Examination of Conscience” before receiving the sacrament. Go over your life since the last time you have received the sacrament and resolve not to repeat the sins committed since then.
General Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered regularly on Saturdays after the 8 AM Mass at St. Cyprian and from 4:45 to 5:15 PM at St. Celestine or by appointment.
