Saturday, October 20 at 10 AM at St. Celestine
On nearly every page of the Gospels we see Jesus’ concern for the sick. Healing was essential to the mission of the disciples, and after the Ascension, the Church continued to be a sacrament of healing. The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is a gift from God which is meant to be given to anyone who is sick or injured, with a chronic illness or chronic pain, suffering from depression, chemical dependence, or anyone who finds they are slowing down a bit because of increasing age.
When we celebrate this sacrament together, we celebrate God’s gifts of healing strength and comfort and the special qualities of encouragement, compassion, and helpfulness.
On Saturday, October 20, St. Celestine Church will have a Mass of Anointing at 10 AM. Those wishing to receive this sacrament and those wishing to be present with those coming to be anointed are invited. Please join us! An RSVP is not necessary for St. Celestine.
