FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE OF CHICAGO:
VERY IMPORTANT MEETING FOR
PARISHIONERS AND SCHOOL FAMILIES ON JANUARY 17

We want to thank you again for your continued partnership as we have been discerning the best church, parish, and school structures to serve our community. Our work as part of Renew My Church will revitalize the greater ministerial vitality of our Elmwood Park Catholic community.

Over the past several months, the Grouping Feedback and Discernment Team, which includes representatives from all of the parishes in our grouping, met to review and discern the future structure for our Elmwood Park area. Based on their meetings and discussions, the group submitted a report to an Archdiocesan Commission, which includes representatives from across the Archdiocese.

Based on the Grouping Team’s feedback report, as well as other considerations, the Commission will present a recommendation to Cardinal Cupich and the Archdiocese’s Presbyteral Council regarding the future church structure for our Elmwood Park area.

A final decision from Cardinal Cupich and the Archdiocese’s Presbyteral Council is expected the week of January 15.

As such, we want to invite you to join us for a community meeting where all parishioners and school families from across our grouping (St. Celestine, St. Cyprian, and St. William) will gather together to learn of the decision and discuss next steps for our area.

MEETING DETAILS:
Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 7 PM
in St. Celestine Church located at 3020 North 76th Court, Elmwood Park, IL
on the corner of 76th Court and Wellington

We ask you to remember Jesus Christ calls us to constantly renew His Church. Renew My Church is the Archdiocese of Chicago’s response to His call and our invitation for renewal.

Called by Jesus Christ we are making disciples, building communities and inspiring witness. May God continue to bless us all on this journey.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, January 17!
