On Thursday, December 14, 2017, St. Celestine Parish is inviting Willie Cobb to return to speak on Praying with the Saints.

This talk will help you to focus on the power of prayer which can change the world and heal the soul. God invites us into a relationship with Him that is both personal and communal. He speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Word-made-flesh.

Prayer is our response to God who is already speaking or, better yet, revealing Himself to us. Therefore, prayer is not merely an exchange of words, but it engages the whole person in a relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit.

Willie Cobb has 35 years of ministry, 17 years teaching theology, 5 years of chaplaincy at Community First Medical Center. Willie is a Doctoral Candidate in Ministry at the Catholic Theological Union in Hyde Park and holds a Master's in Divinity from Loyola's Institute of Pastoral Studies. He is a motivational speaker and workshop presenter, and is passionate about helping people understand the impact of the prayer and Catholic spirituality.

A small reception will follow discussion!
