Parish Event » Celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast

Tuesday, December 12
7 PM Mass in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas

All are welcome to attend this bilingual Mass!

We will be invited to bring a rose to the altar in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Virgin Mary appeared to indigenous American Juan Diego in 1531, at Tepeyac Hill,
now in Mexico City, asking that a church be built for her. When the bishop asked for a sign
proving it was a true apparition, she provided roses for Juan Diego to gather, even though it was
December, and left an image of herself on his tilma (mantle). She is credited with bringing about
the conversion of Mexico, with almost 9,000,000 converting to Christianity in the 8 years
after her appearance. St. John Paul II named Juan Diego a saint in 2002.

Please join us for this beautiful liturgy and light refreshment after.
